Invitation to the 7th European Deaf Arts and Culture Festival

The 7th European Deaf Arts and Culture Festival (5-12 August 2012) will be held in Tallinn, Estonia. We are looking for performances in any genre, including theatre plays, poetry, comedy, dance, and visual art. We prefer performances with a positive image of Deafness (not discrimination against Deaf people), e.g. different aspects of Deaf culture and history. The performance can also be based on literature and should be 20-45 minutes long. We suggest that you perform in International Sign, so that the content would be understandable for everyone.

The DVDs and applications should be sent by 6 February 2012. Those who send them by 6 February do not have to pay the registration fee. After that until 6 March the registration fee (with DVD attached) is going to be 50 EUR and registration (with DVD attached) until 6 April the fee is going to be 100 EUR. The participation fee 10 EUR per person can be paid after we have selected the plays.

Please post the DVDs and registration forms to the following address:

Travel costs to Estonia shall be borne by the participants (plane, train, bus, car). More information will be given next year to the selected participants.
